About McCall
A nurse who became a mom who became your advocate

McCall’s Story
Before becoming a lactation consultant, McCall Conkling spent seven years as a Registered Nurse, including three years in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. She was there for the first cry, the first hold, and the first attempt at breastfeeding. Over and over, she watched new moms light up with hope and then struggle with frustration when feeding did not come as easily as they expected.
Then she became a mom herself. When her son Camden was born, McCall experienced firsthand what so many of her patients had gone through. Even with years of clinical training, breastfeeding was hard. That experience changed everything for her.
She pursued her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential, the highest certification in lactation care, because she knew she could help families in a deeper way. Not just with clinical technique, but with the patience, empathy, and honest encouragement that only comes from someone who has been there.
Today, McCall runs LatchOn Lactation Consulting out of Peak Pediatrics in Thornton, Colorado. Every consultation is built around the same principle: meet each family where they are, with zero judgment, and give them the confidence and tools they need to succeed on their own terms.
